July 2020 New Joint Commission Maternal Safety Standards: How Prepared Are You?

Date: Thursday, November 21, 2019
Time: 2:00 p.m. ET
Duration:   1 hour

The Joint Commission has identified that the highest impact for improving maternal morbidity and mortality is in the prevention, early recognition, and timely treatment of both maternal hemorrhage and severe hypertensive/preeclampsia.

Effective July 2020 (just seven months away), hospitals that are Joint Commission accredited will be held accountable to demonstrate adherence to new requirements focused on improving the quality and safe care provided to women during all stages of pregnancy and postpartum.

Join us for an online panel discussion where obstetrics experts will discuss:

  • The 13 new elements of performance within the Provision of Care, Treatment, and Services standards for maternal safety
  • Nurses' & providers' roles in meeting the new standards (per AWHONN, ACOG, SMFM, etc.)
  • Specific solutions, interventions, and recommendations on how organizations will meet the new requirements
  • Results from gap analyses from leading organizations

Please note: this webinar is a free event, and no CEUs or certificates of participation are provided. All registrants will receive a copy of the recorded webinar and slides if you cannot attend the live event.
