Ask the Expert: How to Provide Strong Supervision in IDD

Date: Thursday, January 23, 2020
Time: 2:00 p.m. ET
Duration:   1 hour

The most overlooked strategy for increasing staff retention is supervisor training. Our nationwide survey of direct support professionals found that problems with supervisors is one of the leading drivers of DSP turnover.
Dennis Reid, Ph.D., BCBA-D, literally wrote the book on supervision in intellectual/developmental disability services. He was the lead author of the Supervisor Training Curriculum from the American Association on Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (AAIDD).

In this webinar, Dennis will answer your questions about how front-line supervisors can improve staff performance and increase DSP retention. Join us to learn more about:

  • How supervisors can establish performance expectations and hold staff accountable
  • What tools supervisors can use for assessing performance and progress
  • How supervisors can improve performance by promoting staff enjoyment of work

Please note: this webinar is a free event, and no CEUs or certificates of participation are provided. All registrants will receive a copy of the recorded webinar and slides if you cannot attend the live event.
